Of course you can book your own holiday, if that’s what you choose. However, there are many benefits of using a travel agent that you may not be aware of. I can save you both time and money. Organising a holiday (particularly if it is quite complex) is time consuming work and you may not know if you are getting value for money on what you are booking. I can also access exclusive deals that may not be accessible to the general public. Another thing to be aware of is that you are not on your own. If you encounter a problem on your trip, I am your advocate to make sure issues are satisfactorily resolved, with your best interest at heart.

I can provide general package deals, but specialise in customising complex travel itineraries that are specific to your needs and specifications.

Definitely not! I am available to help you as little or as much as you like. Tell me what you need and I shall make it happen. Already got flights booked, but need help with organising accommodation? No problem! Need to coordinate a complex flight path, but are happy to organise the accomodation and activities yourself? Sure thing! Don’t have the time, effort or energy to organise anything? No worries! I can take care of absolutely everything from start to finish. Just pack your bags and you are ready to go!

No, I do not add on any booking or service fees. If you are wondering how I pay my own bills, I earn a commission which is paid by the suppliers directly. This keeps me happy and also allows you extra spending money for your holiday! I work within your specified budget to find the best and most value for money products for you and your travel companions. It’s your holiday and I want your dollar to travel as far as it can!

I won’t say 100%, but most likely, yes. I have access to pretty much all the big name travel suppliers in the industry. Let me know what you want and I shall do my best to make it happen!

There is not a general yes or no answer for this question. There are a number of factors at play. You will be required to pay a deposit as a minimum before I can officially lock in your holiday itinerary. Some products may require payment in full (such as flights, for example). Others products, such as package deals, may require a deposit and then the balance will be due at a later date. I will advise you of payment due dates when we are finalising the booking.

Sometimes things come up that may effect your holiday plans and you may need to change your itinerary or cancel your holiday completely. For amendments or complete cancellations, there may be limitations and fees that are completely out of my control. I myself, do not add on any additional holiday amendment or cancellation fees. However, there may be certain conditions of sale attached to the purchase of certain products. Take a hotel room for example. Some rooms may allow you to cancel the room up until a day before check-in. Alternatively, you may have purchased a room at a bargain non-refundable room rate, which means that you are not entitled to cancel without losing your money. If you have purchased travel insurance, you may be able to recoup some of this money, depending upon the type of coverage you have.

The decision on whether to purchase travel insurance is completely up to you. Most of the time, your holiday will come and go without incident. However, on the chance that you get seriously ill or injured whilst in a foreign country, travel insurance is worth its weight in gold! Medical bills can easily accumulate to over US$100,000 if you require a few days in a US hospital for example. If required, the cost of airlifting you to receive care is astronomical. Generally, the most important reason for travel insurance is to cover unforeseen medical expenses. There are other things that travel insurance may also cover; such as insolvency protection (if a supplier goes out of business after you’ve paid for your trip, but before you use the product/service), or flight costs due to missed connections, to name a few. There are many different products on the market and they are not all created equal. Make sure you read the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) carefully to make sure you know and understand exactly what it is that you are covered for.
